Managed to get away from it all for a few great hours on the weekend. At the top of Mayfair Rd. the resident White phase Goshawk perched 70m away, as we walked back she was joined by another smaller White-phase and they circled around each other for a minute or two then slowly flew north along the slope. A Brown Cuckoo-dove flew into a back-yard tree and posed for a while before casually disappearing. A Pheasant Coucal has been calling from the creek for a few days.
