Hi Folks
Realise I forgot to mention Gundabooka NP.
The Park is about 50km South of Bourke NSW. off the Kidman Way and poorly signposted. The unsealed road into the Park is described as 'dry weather for 4wd only'. It is about 20km into the Camp Ground and I  think you could with care get in with a conventional vehicle but you'll have to wait if it rains before exiting. The Camp Ground is excellent but small and has well serviced drop toilets - we had it to ourselves. The bird list is quite extensive but we didn't find many species - still in drought I imagine - but, it was good for White-browed Treecreeper a species not common to us and of course the beautifull Major Mitchell Cockatoo.
