Hi All,

Yesterday i attended the Southport Pelagic where i met Paul Walbridge and some other birders which included a few members of birding-aus. As we were leaving i had the chance to see a few species in the broadwater that i had never seen before however i could not wait to get further out to sea to see a number of other firsts for me. I had views of a number of sea birds which although they looked the same to my inexperienced eyes were easily picked apart by others. My favourite species of the trip was the Fluttering Shearwater. However sadly much of my time was spent dealing with sea sickness. My first Pelagic Trip was a great one and i highly recommend the Southport Pelagic to anyone wanting great views of sea birds. I am sure i will be attending the Pelagic again when i get a chance. By the way it was nice meeting up with other birders.

Yours Sincerely
Mr Jade Welch
