Nature and Landscape Photographer of the year 2004.

A NEW PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION,

Thee ANZANG Nature and Landscape Photographer of the year ? 2004, is putting the native flora and fauna of Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica and New Guinea in the frame.

ANZANG Nature seeks to highlight the regions extraordinary legacy by encouraging photography of its wildlife, raising public awareness of its natural heritage, and providing financial support for nature conservation in the region. Profit from the competition and exhibitions is to be donated to conservation organisations purchasing and managing natural habitat to provide sanctuary for native flora and fauna.

Thee competition is open to all photographers, amateur or professional, of any age or nationality. Cash prizes totally $17,000 are being offered. The nine competition categories are:

  • Animal behaviour
  • Animal portrait
  • Botanical subject
  • Underwater subject
  • Wilderness landscape
  • Threatened animals or plants, Endangered animals or plants
  • Black and White
  • Digital Camera photography
  • Junior photography (under 18 years of age)

The aesthetic and technical qualities of each image will be considered.

Highly commended and winning entries will form a major exhibition to tour in public museums and galleries nationally and internationally, commencing in October 2004.

Closing date for entry submissions is 1st., May 2004.

Sponsorship is also being sought from corporations, organisations and individuals who support ANZANG Nature?s aims. Birds Australia is a sponsor of ANZANG Nature.
