Sorry to hear you're not well.
I visited the 'swamp' a couple of weeks ago with Gavin Goodyear following
the last Southport pelagic. I was very surprised to find the swamp only
damp and am relieved and disappointed at the same time by this news. I
don't know how long the pipe had been fixed then, but the reeds and
plants were still very green and healthy looking.....maybe there is some
seepage from the nearby 'ponds' via the 'drain' ??
I hope a resolution is found and it's nice to hear your compliments
regarding the Gold Coast City Council's (and Energex, of course!)
approach and attitude.
