A quick stroll on the banks of the Yarra on Saturday morning - several
Fantail Cuckoos calling but invisible, blast them - and loud song from a
male Golden Whistler which was very visible indeed in a Silver Wattle.
Redrumped Parrots prospecting nest-holes and defending them from
trespassers and a delicious scent from the Tree Violet (Hymenanthera
dentata) on this unusual windless day. Definitely spring.
