Hi Bob,  (And all that might be interested)

My apologies....its actually spelt Murgheboluc and is about 20km west of Geelong.

If you continue away from Geelong along Aberdeen St (continuation of Ryrie St in the city) and down the deviation to Fyansford and follow this road towards Inverleigh, you'll come to the small 'town' of Murgheboluc. (its more a district)

When you head down  into the flood plains, there is the Murgheboluc Recreation reserve on you right. The Wetlands are behind the reserve.

Its a fantastic little area, that would really benefit from some love and attention by the birding and general community.  It has an amazingly large population of Black Fronted Plovers, and although i've never been there in the hight of summer, i think will attract a large number of inland waders. There was a Black Tailed Native Hen there last year.  It also has a good mixture of bush birds in the few trees that are in the reserve area.

Cheers,

Peter
