Hi all,

I will be visiting east and southeast Australia for the first time between
mid-October and early November. Most of my birding will be along the coastal
areas, but I am looking for at least one good route to make a trip into the
outback for scenery and the unique species.

Can anyone advise of a good place to go birding that might be within a day's
reach of either the Sydney region or Adelaide? I will be spending more time
in the Sydney region and am thinking I could extend a foray into the Blue
Mts. to cross into the interior, but looking at range maps it looks like
more of the dry country species approach near Adelaide?

Any and all help is vastly appreciated!

Thanks -
