Peter, The NT Atlas site http://birds.rhyme.com.au/virtmap/oz/season=win/201/175_275/133_39_32/18_28_ 40/birds.html?species=463 shows that the Western Gerygones are quite commonly recorded in the southern NT in winter, more so in fact than in other seasons, though this might be in part due to the seasonality of observers. They are certainly hard to find if not calling. Robert Read Alice Springs |
