Hi all, although a little bit late I want to report some sightings from a nice birding trip with John Clifton-Everest to the Hawkesbury region last Sunday. We saw - a Rose Robin and heard Brown Cuckoo-Doves a few times calling at Mitchell Park, - 8 species of raptors including a Collared Sparrowhawk at Cornwallis Rd and a Peregrine Falcon at McGraths-Hill but unfortunately no Spotted Harrier, - 4 Glossy Ibis and an early Latham's (Japanese) Snipe also at McGraths-Hill, - and a female Freckled Duck at Little Bushells Lagoon. Jesko Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
