Hi Simon,
I would like to know who she was. as in: "the best being a Southern Emu-Wren litterally popping out of a bust that I was standing next to.............."
Now that would be an interesting birding trip.
Sorry, only teasing, I think I know what you meant.

Hi all,

Went to Maroubra for a few hours this morning and didn't see the OBP - I think the wind didn't help...second time I've dipped. Anyway did see a few interesting birds, the best being a Southern Emu-Wren litterally popping out of a bust that I was standing next to. This was about 1/3 away along the track that goes right to the swamp (where OBP had been reported). Also a Horsefield Bronze-Cuckoo calling loudly across the heath. At the headland saw a few Black-Browed Albatross, and a number of groups of Hutton's Shearwater passing by as well as good number of Short-Tailed Shearwater.

Cheers
Simon.
