Re: Gilbert's Whistler in Capertee Valley

You will recall that I saw a Gilberts Whistler on the Port Macquarie Road in October 2001 about a month? before you saw the bird at your place.  That whistler was very near (about 5m away) a female plumaged bird which, at the time, I dismissed as a Golden Whistler purely because the concept of a Gilberts Whistler in the valley wasn't even worth thinking about.  Naturally after watching the male Gilberts I couldn't relocate the female plumaged bird.  Was it a Golden or was it a female Gilberts?

Is the bird I saw the same bird you saw and are still observing?  There is only about 10km between the two locations.

So many questions!
