g'day all,

Not birding ..but ..

7/8/2003 I received an email that included several Birding-Aus correspondents I recognised as recipients.
It said that the Senders address book was infected and encouraged recipients to delete the file jdbgmgr.exe.

This email is a hoax ! The file is a legitimate Microsoft Debugger Registrar for Java.

For more information on this Hoax see
Norton

McAfee

Sophos

Cyberspace is a dangerous place ! Make sure you have Anti-virus software & also keep it up to date .. and be aware of hoaxes.

For Hoax information in general see

Regards
Bob Forsyth, Mount Isa, NW Qld.
