Love your web site but the tours link is not working!
 
I have seen ducks, similar to the ones you have photographed, at both Hasties Swamp and on Lake Tinaroo here on the Atherton Tableland. Some have had a forehead appearance more like that of a teal. They have been observed with Hardheads and Grey Teal but not showing any behavioural affinity ( association) with their neighbours. They were just in the same vicinity.
