Michael,
I saw a Hobby darting around low over rooftops here in St Kilda (Melbourne)
yesterday - Im sure it had fresh pigeon on its mind for lunch (no
coincidence, St Kilda being of the pigeon strongholds in Melbourne).
I have also often seen Peregrines scouting around the St Kilda area
presumably for pigeons,
Cheers,
Greg

Hi All.
Over the past month, driving between Minchinbury and Penrith in
Western
Sydney, I have seen an Australian Hobby or two speeding across the Great
Western Highway just above the roofs of outer suburbia, and one
occasionally
flys over the M4 nearby.
Are Hobbies Pigeon-eaters? Pigeon racing is one of the local pastimes.
Cheers
Michael
