Hi all!

My wife and I will be spending a week or so in the Alice/Yulara area in
September (our second visit to Australia).

I've been looking at the web site of the Alice Springs Field Naturalists
Club, which has got useful information on the special birds of the region
(that appears to be quite up to date).

I was wondering though whether anyone has been in the area recently and has
had any luck in finding birds such as:

Spinifexbird

Dusky and Striated Grasswrens

Banded Whiteface

Rufous-crowned Emu-Wren.

What are the conditions currently like in the parts of the West McDonnell
Range that were burnt late last year - Ormiston Gorge, Ellery Creek etc.?

Please reply to me privately.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

Robert Grimmond
