I am organising a pelagic from the Hillarys Boat Harbour in Perth for
Saturday 6th September. The trip leaves from outside AQWA at 7am, and we
return at about 15:30. The cost depends on the number of people (maximum
30), but is usually about $70.
Early September is an excellent time for shearwaters off Perth. There are
still some albatross sround, plus Soft-plumaged Petrels and Great-winged
Petrels are almost certain. White-faced Storm-petrels are fairly common,
plus there is still the chance of other winter seabirds. Arctic Tern has
been recorded at this time in previous years. We usually see Humpback
Whales and sometimes other cetaceans.
You can book by contacting me at or (08) 9386 5694.
