Terrill was suprised to see Fairy Martins at this time of year in Sydney.  

I will prefix my comments with the statement that I have no experience birding in Sydney (other than the odd short visit) but during my time on the NSW north coast I would have been rather concerned if there weren't Fairy Martins around by mid-July and would probably expect them to be preparing nests, at least.
