Hi all,
We have Choughs as residents in Glynn's Rd.,Nth.Warrandyte, the adjoining suburb to Research which John Moverley mentioned. They roam over a fair area, but could  be counted on to be sighted almost daily somewhere along the road..
As far as I can make out, there are about 5 small family parties with the largest group consisting of 11 birds.  I've found nests on our block and over the road.
Happy birding
