Arron (and Tony),
This really does so very beautifully make the whole point about providing
locations in posts.
Arron, with respect, as one born in Vic, and having lived many years
elsewhere including in NSW, and now many more years in SA, I certainly would
not have known the answer.
Yes, of course I know about Maitland in NSW. But I also know about Maitland
in SA (and, assuming that TR is the expert birdo I've met here in SA, I
presume that might well be his first pick). And now, having looked in the
postcode section of the telephone directory, I find that there is also a
Maitland in WA!!! Whether any or all of them have an East Maitland Tip, I
wouldn't have any idea. Nor (I probably should blush to say) would I know
whether a Black Falcon should, or should not, be found in one and not the
others.
Though I must admit that I always assume that locations mentioned are not
those of the same name in SA - because (sadly) so few South Australians seem
to post sightings.
Nevertheless, I really appreciate it when people do take the trouble at
least to identify the state and perhaps a bit more.
Many thanks in advance if people do so :-)
