Steve,
I've seen both Royal and Yellow-billed in paddocks recently up in Kerang (usually associating
with Ibis spp.)
Cheers,
Greg

Hi Steve,

I recall seeing some in paddocks between Hamilton and Dunkeld last
winter/spring. I've never thought about their feeding habits though but a
quick check in Pizzey & Knight tells me the Yellow Billed occasionally
forages in dry grassland.

Have you seen the bustards lately? Well done with the article in the paper
about them too, Steve.

Cheers,

David Cameron
