Hi We have a dog. Some people would not consider it a dog, rather a large rat. It is VERY domesticated and won't even chase birds that encroach on his space. Instead, he comes and fetches me to chase the nasty birds from his area. I agree with Andy with regards the irresponsible owners that we encounter. I have been threatened that I'll "have my lights punched out" when pointing out to someone that their dog was not allowed in the area. As for cleaning up the mess their dogs leave ......... It would be a shame if ALL dog owners were accused because of the actions of a few. I have seen the reactions when all birders have been burdened with the sins of a few.
