Hi folks
I had a flying visit of just 7 hours on Flinders Island in Bass Strait
on Saturday for work (more on that later).
Amongst a range of interesting birds at the site was Painted
Button-quail. The various sources indicate that PBQ is generally
scarce-rare in Tasmania along the east side, plus on Flinders and King
Islands, but not much else. Any Tasmanians (present or expatriate) care
to comment on the status of this bird in the state of Tasmania, and
particularly Flinders Island?
TIA
L.
