At the Banksia Awards Presentation held on the Gold Coast on Saturday 6th
June, Gluepot Reserve was named the winner in the category: 'Environmental
Leadership in the Community'. The award goes to an individual or community
group that has demonstrated leadership, commitment and excellence in
protecting or enhancing the Australian Environment. We received two
certificates (finalist and winner) and a handsome trophy that will look
spectacular in the new Information Centre.
And only yesterday, the Reserve won the United Nations World Environment Day
Award 2003 in the category 'Best Community Based Environmental
Project or Initiative Award'.
