Most of the solutions so far have been ridiculous, so I thought I would offer a more serious suggestion. IF, as has been suggested, the ravens are taking the golf balls because of their resemblance to eggs, the answer is simple. The basic shape of the balls needs to be changed so that they no longer resemble eggs. Square, for example. If the balls were square (or rather, cubic), the ravens would KNOW they couldn't be eggs. What it would do to the game of golf is another matter, but, hey... that's of minor importance.
