Hi Glenise Yes, a very unusual sighting. There was a Scarlet Honeyeater at Deakin University Waurn Ponds (Geelong) in 1994. I think it was the third record for anywhere west of Melbourne in this state. The Deakin bird stayed around for a number of days.
