Hi everyone,

Returning from northern Victoria yesterday I saw what I reckon was a pair of Major Mitchell's Cockatoo in a paddock, about 40Kms north of Bendigo on the Pyramid Hill road.

Travelling along, I noticed what I first thought was a pair of SC Cockatoos until I saw a distinctive pink on the chest of one of the birds. I excitedly turned around to check them out - unfortunately I didn't have my binocs(!) and the birds were about 40 metres from the roadside, but the pink was unmistakable.

Seems a long way south to me - any records in this area recently?

Greg
