At the Gap Rest House last week I saw Bat Hawk at dusk on two evenings. One was a single bird, the other a pair engaged in what looked like pair-bonding behaviour.

I also saw Bat Hawk on one evening when I visited the place in 1998.

So, unless I am uniquely favoured, I would guess that this would make the Gap a prime stake-out for the species.
