Carol I swift watchers,

thanks for passing on the Swift sighting. The only other one I am aware of
anywhere in Australia for April was of three at Coolgardie seen by Cheryl
and Martin Gole. The day before that Tony Russell saw 30 in Adelaide, and
there were quite a few sightings through the rest of March.

If any one has swift or Neeedletail sightings that have not been publicised
or sent to me privately I would appreciate receiving them. Many thanks

Here is for hours of happy bird watching

Mike

Mike and all swift-watchers,

One of my regular clients, Sandra Boxsell, has reported seeing 4
Fork-tailed Swifts on 20th April 2003 at Manildra in central-western NSW.
Her notes read: late afternoon between 5.30 and 5.45pm, storm clouds
looming but no rain. Sandra is a reliable and skilled observer.

Were these the last stragglers in NSW?

Cheers

Carol
