I raced outside the house upon hearing the distinctive call of Swift Parrots flying over and quickly located a pair feeding in the blossoms of Eucalyptus Fibrosa with Rainbow Lorikeets and Noisy Miners in the park oposite my place in Snowy Reserve, Seven Hills (approx. 40 km west of Sydney). I usually see them every 2-3 years in my local area. There presence always give me a buzz.

A few weeks ago in this reserve we had both Little and Musk Lorikeets as well, but they seem now to have dissapeared. Has anyone seen recently large numbers of both lorikeets (say 100 plus of each species) recently?
