Rare bird news. A Grey Heron was seen flying over the beach in front of the Boome BO on 13 April. Hasn't been seen since. Bo Totterman reports that a SIPO has recently returned to Ballina, NSW. Jeff Lord claims to have seen a Buff-breasted Sandpiper just west of Port MacDonnell in SA on 5 April. Laurie Jones claims to have seen a Rufous-bellied Kookaburra on Boigu Is., Torres Strait, last October.
