G'day all, a brief update on some sightings in North West Queensland.....

Two Hoary Headed Grebes have been seen at the Julia Creek Sewerage Treatment Pond yesterday.  A pair of Pink Eared Ducks have also been visiting too.  Some Black Fronted Dotterels (including a pair with recently hatched chicks) and also nine Australian Pratincoles were observed around the edges of the pond.  A Channel Billed Cuckoo also flew over head.

Last Saturday (5.04.03) - excellent views of a Grey Falcon seen about 40 kilometres North East of Julia Creek on the Julia Creek - Punchbowl Road near the Flinders River.  8 other raptors were also seen in the area on the same day including a Peregrine and numerous Brown Falcons, Nankeen Kestrel, Black Shouldered Kite, literally hundreds of Black Kites, Whistling Kites, a Wedgetailed Eagle and a Spotted Harrier.

Regards
