G'day Chris,
Flocks of Black Swans are usually present from Quibray Bay through to
Bonna Point on the Kurnell Peninsula, sometimes in numbers over 1000.
They can best be sighted from the beach access to the bay about 0.5km
before the horse riding school or before Banks Dve.
They occasionally visit the ponds and lakes in the suburbs around the
northern shores of Botany Bay, and have even bred last year in the
Engine Pond between General Holmes Dve and the heliport at Mascot.
Regards

Spotted two black swand flying over Capt Cook Drive, Kurnell this
morning, first time I've seen them there. They appeared to land in the
lake behind the sandhills created by the sand mining. Don't know if
this is unusual for the area.

rgds,

Chris Ross
