Colin R wrote of his problems with criminal Brush Turkeys and the warning: "Please don't BOTHER to feed the animals - THEY'LL BLOODY HELP THEMSELVES"!!!" Reminds me of stopping in one of the NPs between Townsville and Ayr (can't remember which one) in 1993 and unloading the car to get at the spare tyre as I had a flat. My wife, came to watch as an interested spectator - with no guard, by the time I'd changed the tyre, the turkeys (or wafer bottoms as we called them) had been into the food box and had a whole 1kg fruit cake! Still, at least they don't come swooping down to take the food off your plate a la Kookaburra/sausage theft - that would be quite alarming!
