Hi all
I was rather surprised to see a White-faced Heron at a nest
containing 3 young high up atop an electricity pylon this morning.
The nest was about 10km south of Adelaide River along the Stuart
Hwy (making it about 125 km south of Darwin). Seems an
unexpected site for a nest, not to mention the fact that breeding by
this species in the Top End is very rarely reported anyway.

Happy Birding
Niven
PS There are still reports of our Black-headed Gull, though
irregularly.
