The machine holding the birding-aus archive developed problems on
Friday until this morning. Unfortunately this coincided with me being
away so it wasn't fixed until Monday morning. Messages sent in this
period now seem to have been added in the archive.
If you are new to the list, the archive is at

It contains 33000 messages sent to the list over the last 8 years.
The archive does use a non-standard web-server port which may be blocked
by some organization's firewalls. One days I'll fix this and
the acrhive's clunky search engine.
My trip away included doing the Six Foot track (Katoomba to Jenolan Caves)
Saturday morning. Too fast for much birding but did hear a Glossy-black
Cockatoo near Nellie's Glen. Passing through Bell Miner colonies
is always great. Interesting on Sunday was a White-throated Treecreeper
foraging on limestone rock faces (Carlotta's Arch) at Jenolan Caves and
apparently chasing another treecreeper off the rock faces.
