Gidday
Birders,
this morning I had to get up early for work, how early...well the flying foxes
were still fighting over the Red Bloodwood blossom in my backyard. Anyway while
forcing my eyes open and trousers on, I heard a call that caught my attention. A
female Powerful owl was calling from somewhere downslope of my house
in Lapstone (lower blue mountains, 60 km west of
Sydney).
It almost made it
worth being up at 05:30.
Nearly gave Michael
Hunter a call to see if he could hear the bird....
Cheers
Graham
Turner
