Read with interest the notes from birders re. noted aggression between certain species. We have noticed the Sharp-tailed Sandpipers acting quite aggressively to each other and today the Yellow Wagtail at Eastlakes Golf Course (near Sydney airport) was being bombed and harassed by a Welcome Swallow, which continued chasing it and forcing it down into the reeds or plants on the mud. Other birds of interest there today were Freckled Duck, Rufous Night Heron, Common (1) and Sharp-tailed Sandpipers, Latham's Snipe and Common Terns.
