Is this an isolated flowering patch or is it likely that flowering might be widespread through the Victorian Goldfields this winter? Chris/David, I was up at Kamarooka State Park (North-East of Bendigo) a week ago, and counted a dozen or so Musk Lorikeets feeding on the nectar/blossom of the Kamarooka Mallees on the south border of the park. They have been flowering for months, so I don't know why it's taken the Lorikeets so long to find them. No sign of the Yellow TuftedHoneyeaters that normally frequent this area though.
