Hi all Saw a Ruff yesterday at Windang on Lake Illawarra, 15 Km south of Wollongong on the NSW coast. It was with about 800 Sharpies which have gathered on our drying lake, the shore line has now receded some 1/2 a Km here and has been alive with waders for the last couple of months. I was surprised how bossy it was, pecked and even picked up and threw Sharpies out of the way, had a go at a Chestnut Teal also. May be the same Ruff from western Sydney with an attitude problem. Cheers Chris Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
