Paul A. Johnsgard Wrote in Ducks In The Wild 1992 'Australian Whiteyed Duck Australian Hunters and Birders call this species the Hardhead an unattractive name with no logical basis,it is one of the group of white eyed pochards in which the males have whitish eyes.' So there is no true meaning. |
