Common Tern with red legs

Hi Jill

We once saw on one occassion in late Summer/early Autumn, a Common Tern with
deep red legs roosting amongst several Common (with black legs) and
White-winged Black Terns at Nobby's Head in Newcastle (NSW). It had the dark
carpal bars and a black bill like all the other Common Terns. I have not
seen a Common Tern like this individual ever since.

Terns are always great to look at.
