Again, for people who are interested, the draft Curtis Coast Regional Coastal
Management Plan is open for comment to the Qld EPA until March 7, 2003.
The draft plan is accessible at
http://www.epa.qld.gov.au/environment/coast/management/curtis.html and
information sessions will be held in the Gladstone Engineering Centre
theatrette, Central Queensland University, Gladstone, on Wednesday, January 22,
at 2pm and also at 6.30pm.
A community workshop is planned for mid-February to provide an opportunity for
interested people to trial the use of the draft plan, clarify various aspects
and provide any comments.
There is a coastal planning hotline on 1800 501 436 [not sure if it works
interstate]. Copies of the draft plan are also available at EPA offices in
Gladstone and Rockhampton, Gladstone City and Calliope Shire council offices,
Calliope Shire Council libraries, and the Ports of Gladstone (Kullaroo House)
and Rockhampton.
Regards, Laurie.
