For those of you who are interested in northern Qld, the draft
Cardwell-Hinchinbrook Regional Coastal Management Plan is open for public
comment until 14 March 2003.  

Displays comprising the draft Plan and 17 large scale maps will be available for
viewing at the Cardwell Shire Council office (Tully), Hinchinbrook Shire Council
office (Ingham), Herberton Shire Council office (Herberton), and EPA offices
(Townsville, Cairns and Cardwell - Rainforest and Reef Centre), and the Ports
Corporation of Queensland (Lucinda Boat Harbour) from 17 January 2003.

Coastal planning staff will visit Tully (Cardwell Shire Council), Cardwell
(Rainforest and Reef Centre) and Ingham (Hinchinbrook Shire Council) during mid
to late February 2003, for personal meetings with any members of the public who
express an interest in the plan (the meeting times when EPA officers will be
available will be advertised in local press in late January/early February).
