Hello birders, LG=Laughing Gull=Life's Good First seen (by John Duranti and me) about 9.30 a.m. on the beach about 150 m. north of Bongaree Jetty, roosting with a flock of Silver Gulls. It was flushed by nearby human activity after about ten minutes and flew off southwards. We found it again about 5 minutes later with another group of SGs on the beach about 100m. south of the jetty, and got stunning views from as close as 25m.. The LG was still on the beach when we left at about 10 a.m. Regards, Colin Scouler Scanned by PeNiCillin http://safe-t-net.pnc.com.au/ Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
