I have walked along the Sydney to Brooklyn section of the Great North Walk. The first section is a bit boring as you basically walk the streets of Hunters Hill but once you get into the bush its pretty good. There is presently an annual 24/48 hour endurance walk/run along part of this track. To turn that whole walk, or even a part thereof, into a Great Walks Twitchathon would be a fantastic idea. Of course you would probably have to limit everyone to the same amount of days or kilometres walked just to make it fair. Steve Gross Orange NSW |
