I know this is probably old news, but the family had a good long look at a Barbary Dove in the front yard of a house in the Northern suburbs of Canberra on 27 Dec 2002. It was very friendly, and seemed an almost perfect match for the image on http://www.honoluluzoo.org/ringnecked_or_barbary_dove.htm . I'm red-green colourblind so will have to consult family to check if its colour was fawn or pink. Probably an escapee pet. ------------------------------------------- Dr David Paterson ------------------------------------------- Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
