Hi all
The Laughing Gull was present in the flock of Silver Gulls in
Buckley's Hole, Bribie Isalnd, SEQ, between 9.45 and 10.30 on Saturday
morning. (High Tide, strong SE blowing)
It then 'appeared' on the sandbank out from Buckley's Hole with the
Bar-tailed Godwits, S. Gulls, Terns etc. Was very reluctant to fly, allowing
approach to within 20 or 30 feet (sorry, yes, I'm that old!) before finally
taking off, circling and landing again within a couple of minutes. Smart
looking bird! and, of course, very easy to pick out!!
Last seen on the sandbank at 12.00 midday.

(I don't know Trevor's e-mail, can someone forward this to him as he
requested last week, please? thanks.)

Colin
