Hi All,

More rarity news, 2003 is starting to look like an exciting year! Heard Roger Jaensch's news from New Year's Day and took off for Bribie to see the Laughing Gull this morning. On arrival at Buckley's Hole met Trevor Ford who was already there and had found it on the roost. He seems fairly confident that it is the same bird as last April's from it's habit of moving back and forward from Buckley's to the sand-bar and jetty at Bongaree, although now it has a full summer-plumage black cap. Sadly didn't hear it's laughing-call as Roger described, but it was great to catch up with an old mate! I've put pics on my gallery site on http://www.aviceda.org/gallery/photo.php?photo=495&size=default&exhibition=6
Hope you enjoy the pix and it sticks around for all to see,
Cheers Roger!
Tom
