On Saturday my wife and I went looking for Pink Robin up in the Tooolangi State Forest near Melbourne, having heard of reliable sightings at the spot. We had no luck in the rainforest area, and continued our walk along the gully path. It was hot, with very little about, and we were just about to return to the car when a beautiful pair of ROSE robins appeared in the mid-storey. Both were flitting around, and were carrying nesting material, in preparation for a new brood I guess. A tick for us, which more than made up for the lack of the pink ones.

Martin Symes.
